Erika is a Human Resources professional with over 15 years experience. She has worked in various industries including construction, automotive and hospitality.Throughout her career,Erika has led Human Resource initiatives in several areas including Employee Relations, Training and Development, Benefits, Health and Safety, Full Cycle Recruitment as well as Payroll Administration. Erika also has experience in Change Management and New Process Implementations. Erika earned her CHRP designation in 2007 and her CHRL designation in 2013.
Vlad began his construction accounting career in the commercial sector where he learned different aspects of the construction process. With over 8 years’ experience in both commercial and residential construction, Vlad has applied his accounting knowledge in various construction applications including schools, golf clubs, churches, and high-end custom homes. His experience and knowledge allow him to effectively manage the wide scope of challenges that a project may encounter.
Vlad has an Honors Degree in Accounting from York University and an Honors Diploma in Accounting and Finance from Seneca College.
Mark’s passion for construction began at an early age doing kitchen and bathroom renovations with his father. Being on construction sites expanded his network and led to experience with other trades and eventually summer work and contract positions in carpentry and landscaping. Mark wanted a greater understanding of development on a larger scale which led to a degree in Urban & Regional Planning at Ryerson University.
After graduating, Mark spent a year in Trinidad & Tobago working with the Ministry of Housing & Settlements. Upon returning to Canada, he worked for several architects and for the School of Urban & Regional Planning at Ryerson where he further developed his knowledge of design and policy while continually expanding his network. For the past 20 years Mark has continued to refine his skills in the residential construction industry.
Joseph has over 20 years of experience in the construction and design industries and has a proven track record,building over 40 custom homes.He is a highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills and an ability to build relationships and trust.His hands-on approach and in-depth knowledge enable him to provide a finished product that is value driven and focused on the details.His extensive experience in land development,contract management,value engineering and project estimation,contribute to his success as a construction professional in the low-rise sector,specifically custom homes.
Joseph joined Mazenga as a Senior Project Manager and quickly transitioned into the role of Project Director based on his technical knowledge, project management expertise, and leadership skillset.He is passionate about the built environment and takes pride in the workmanship in every custom home. Joseph has a degree in Interior Design, a Certificate in Construction Project Management,and is PMP Certified.
Matt grew up with a hammer in his hands working on many family renovations and home builds from a young age. Although he was unaware at the time that these experiences would shape his life from a young age. Upon graduating from University of Denver with a finance degree, his past work in construction pushed him to make high-end residential construction his passion and career.
Over the past 15 years, Matt has worked on projects in Colorado, Alberta and for the past six years in the Collingwood area. These projects have ranged in scope from small renovations to large custom homes in Vail, Creemore, Collingwood, and Toronto. Working both on site and as a project manager, Matt has developed a vast experience in all facets of building homes, including technical details in the field, and effectively managing projects to completion. Matt prides himself for being a team player who is process driven and utilizes his finance background to achieve his clients’ budget targets effectively.
Jim has a passion for building relationships and bringing dreams to life.He has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Jim has been involved in over 45 large-scale custom-built projects that extend from Oakville to Muskoka.He started his career framing, roofing,and finishing boathouses and cottages in the Muskoka area. With a drive to enrich his career, Jim moved to Toronto where he quickly evolved as a supervisor managing projects in the neighbourhoods of Oakville, King City,The Kingsway, The Bridle Path and Lawrence Park.
After gaining a wealth of experience as a project manager in the GTA, he returned to Muskoka continuing to manage customs homes and cottages. Jim’s drive, attention to detail, and superior project management skills quickly led him to the role of Director of Construction at Mazenga North as he works with the most creative and diverse clients, architects, designers, and engineers. After 6 years with Mazenga North and over 30 projects completed, building with the Mazenga Way, the future is bright. Jim is very excited to be working with a very strong team which continues to grow and adapt to today's challenges.
Paulina has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. She began her career promoting Canadian wood frame construction in high seismic markets like Chile and Mexico. She also worked with international architects and developers to integrate Canadian building products into large scale residential and commercial projects in the USA, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America. Paulina also founded a global consulting company dedicated to energy efficient building products. More recently, Paulina worked for a large industrial contractor in Ontario.
Paulina works diligently with owners, planners, architects, and designers, to establish a strong synergetic approach to construction. She is extremely passionate about delivering quality construction in every home. She takes pride in working with a highly skilled and professional team that collaborate to exceed clients’ expectations.
