Corey Hawtin is the founder at Mazenga and brings 15 years professional experience to the management and oversight of the business. He began his career as a site super and quickly moved into more senior positions as project manager/director of construction for various Toronto-based custom home builders.
After a few years, Corey wanted to accomplish more and worked to form Mazenga. At Mazenga, Corey closely oversees all operations of the business and has quickly assembled a proven and qualified team. Corey’s passion for construction/business management and design is at the core of Mazenga. He is quick to offer practical solutions and understands the need for a turnkey approach for his clients.
Alexander Skrypko brings 30 years of operational and team management experience across wide range of industries promoting rapid and stable growth through team leadership, operational efficiency, management and vision.
His proficiency is in driving transformation of the corporate structure and operations together with broad experience in high tech industries positions Mazenga as construction company with exceptional reliability, schedule / budget predictability, operational efficiency, tightest process and quality control.
Sandra is a senior finance executive with broad experience in leading financial departments across a wide range of industries. She brings a unique combination of technical, management and financial skills. In addition to her CPA and CGA designations, Sandra has an MBA in Finance which promotes more efficient management and effectiveness of company-wide projects. She also holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
Over the last 15 years, Sandra has held top financial positions at fast-growing construction, IT and manufacturing companies. At Mazenga, Sandra is an integral part of the senior management team and delivers focus and passion to consistently demonstrate her expertise in solution delivery, knowledge acquisition and staff motivation.
Mark Kubista’s passion for construction began at an early age doing kitchen and bathroom renovations with his father. Being on construction sites expanded his network and led to experience with other trades and eventually summer work and contract positions in carpentry and landscaping. Mark wanted a greater understanding of development on a larger scale and pursued an education in urban planning at Ryerson University.
After graduating, Mark spent a year in Trinidad & Tobago working with the Ministry of Housing & Settlements. Upon returning to Canada, he worked for several architects and for the School of Urban & Regional Planning at Ryerson where he further developed his knowledge of design and policy while continually expanding his network. For the past 13 years Mark has continued to refine his skills in the residential construction industry.
Jim has a passion for building relationships and bringing dreams to life. He has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Jim has been involved in over 25 large-scale custom built projects that extend from Oakville to Muskoka. He started his career framing, roofing, and finishing boathouses and cottages in the Muskoka area. With a drive to enrich his career, Jim moved to Toronto where he quickly evolved as a supervisor managing projects in the neighbourhoods of Oakville, King City, The Kingsway, Bridalpath and Lawrence Park.
After gaining a wealth of experience as a project manager in the GTA, he returned to Muskoka continuing to manage customs homes and cottages. Jim’s drive, attention to detail, and superior project management skills quickly led him to the role of Director of Construction at Mazenga North as he works with the most creative and diverse clients, architects, designers and engineers.
Matt grew up with a hammer in his hands working on many family renovations and home builds from a young age. Although he was unaware at the time that these experiences would shape his life from a young age. Upon graduating from University of Denver with a finance degree, his past work in construction pushed him to make high-end residential construction his passion and career.
Over the past 12 years, Matt has worked on projects in Colorado, Alberta and for the past six years in the Collingwood area. These projects have ranged in scope from small renovations to large custom homes in Vail, Creemore, Collingwood, and Toronto. Working both on site and as a project manager, Matt has developed a vast experience in all facets of building homes, including technical details in the field and effectively managing projects to completion. Matt prides himself for being a team player who is process driven, and utilizes his finance background to achieve his clients’ budget targets effectively.
